The kick-off meeting for the Erasmus+ KA220-VET project titled “Digital Transformation in WAAM: Innovative Manufacturing Training for Youth” (DigiWAAM) was successfully held online on January 16, 2025. The project aims to promote digital transformation in advanced manufacturing technologies while enhancing the competencies of young participants.
During the meeting, the project’s objectives, the distribution of tasks among partners, and the planned activities for the upcoming period were discussed. The project specifically focuses on implementing Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) technology in vocational education by developing a curriculum encompassing digital design, simulation, and optimization processes. In this scope, young participants will acquire innovative skills aligned with industrial needs while emphasizing sustainable production practices.

The DigiWAAM project aims to adapt vocational education to meet labor market needs, enhance the employability of participants through the integration of digital technologies, and strengthen international collaboration.

The curriculum and training materials developed as part of the project will contribute to the dissemination of production methods centered on digital transformation and offer participants a competitive edge in the industry.
